HOW IT WORKS
A methodology based on your personalized health care
1.
Schedule a telehealth assessment with the provider
You can schedule a 30-40 min session via telehealth in California.
2.
Initial assessment
In this first assessment I will evaluate and assess:
- Your weight loss history
- Past medical history
- Family history
- Medications
- Laboratory results from your primary provider (or I can order new tests if needed)
I will then create a treatment plan based on an individualized prescription recommendation.
3.
Your medication
Prescription orders will be sent to your local pharmacy. If first-line med is not covered, an individualized alternative prescription and treatment plan will be provided.
Potential prescriptions include Semaglutide, Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Saxenda, Phentermine, Topiramate, Bupropion, and Naltrexone.
Note: It is often helpful to call your insurance company’s prescription line to verify medication coverage prior to the initial visit. This is especially true for GLP-1 medications like Wegovy, Saxenda, Ozempic, and Mounjaro.
4.
Personalized support & Close follow-ups
Depending on the treatment plan and medications, telehealth follow up sessions will be monthly or up to every 4 months.

WHO I AM
Providing you with a personalized plan for your specific conditions

70% of obesity is due to genetics and biology. But heredity is not destiny. And here is where we begin our journey.
As a nephrology nurse practitioner, I have seen first hand how kidney failure is a common endpoint…
After caring for so many people who have already reached that endpoint, when the debilitating effects of chronic disease become inescapable, I made a promise: I am determined to help people with overweight and obesity live their best lives before it’s too late.
I am Glen Ordinario, NP, a family nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience managing obesity related conditions like prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and kidney disease.
Over 10 years managing obesity related conditions
I graduated from Yale University with a master’s degree in advanced practice nursing, with a concentration in diabetes management. I am a board certified family nurse practitioner with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
My journey in medicine began as a medic, and ultimately as a sergeant, in the US Army.
After serving in the Army, I helped people in diverse settings –including community health primary care and urgent care, methadone management, and transgender medicine– before specializing in the treatment of kidney disease and its associated chronic conditions.
I have seen first hand how chronic disease impacts personal well being and overall quality of life, and how chronic metabolic disease, in its many forms, is strongly associated with a common condition: namely, overweight and obesity.
And I want to help, by providing proper medication and advice on nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress management. I am here to support you.
